Description
These yarns are 100% pure undyed Scottish alpaca yarn from our own alpacas here at Starrywell. Each year our alpacas are carefully sheared around the middle of June after which some of the fleeces will be skirted (the removal of all the bits you don't want in there! Hay, straw, twigs and anything else you may find!) and then sent to East Anglia Alpaca Mill in Norfolk. There they are processed and spun into beautiful undyed yarn which is sent back to us to be used for our hand knitted items or balls for you to knit, crotchet or weave with yourself.
Every yarn has a m/100g number, the higher the number the finer the yarn will be.
Each ball of yarn also shows the recommended care instructions and which alpacas fleece the yarn has been spun from, including the year sheared.
